With this package you get a look at Athens in combination with a short stay at the lovely island of Mykonos, so famous for its nightlife and the magic of Santorini with its breathtaking caldera and the legendary volcano.
Mykonos is the island of windmills and endless nightlife. It is considered the jet-set island. It is extremely popular with the young Athenians who invade it every week-end in huge numbers. It has gained a wrong reputation for being a “gay” island. In fact Mykonos is the most laid-back place on earth. Heterosexual or homosexual doesn’t matter, you are free to be whatever you want to be and no-one will bother you.
Santorini is the most popular destination of the Cycladic islands. The reason is simple: stunning and simply breathtaking views. The “Caldera” is something unique, and Santorini happens to have the longest Caldera in the world. Created by the volcanic eruption back in biblical times, today it leaves you in total awe. Its volcanic sheer cliffs topped with gleaming white houses and churches, are the trademark of the island.

Day 1
Arrival at Athens airport. Make your own way to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to begin your exploration of this incredible city. We suggest that you begin with a stroll through the streets of the Plaka area.

Day 2
After breakfast, we suggest to go for a sightseeing tour of Athens, which will introduce you to the most important sites of the city. Early afternoon make your own way to the port of Piraeus to depart for Mykonos.Upon arrival,transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the cute town of Mykonos with its labyrinths of narrow twisting streets. It is so easy to get lost! The good news is that it is so small; you are bound to find your way out quickly.

(Alternatively, you can also depart early morning for Mykonos.)

Day 3
Day at your own leisure.
We suggest making an excursion to Delos. This is an absolute MUST SEE place. In our opinion it is possibly the best archaeological site in Greece.
The history and the mythology are quite incredible. This is where Apollo and his twin sister were born and it was the centre of ancient Greek culture and decision making before Delphi.

Day 4
After breakfast, transfer to Mykonos port for your boat trip to Santorini. Upon arrival transfer is arranged for you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the beauty of Fira Town and walk along the rim of the caldera.

Day 5
Day at leisure.
Don't miss visiting the traditional village of Oia to enjoy the magnificent sunset, that has turned Santorini into the most romantic island of the Cyclades.

Day 6
Day at leisure.
A trip to the Volcanic Island itself is interesting but please, be sure to wear good footwear as the rocks are sharp and the climb is not easy. This can be a half day or full day excursion. The full day gives you the chance to bath in the natural hot water springs.

Day 7
After breakfast, transfer to the Santorini port for your boat trip back to Athens. Upon arrival, make your own way to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, a chance to catch up on your last-minute shopping. Take the optional tour "Athens by Night." It's a great way to end your stay!

Day 8
After breakfast, return to your home country or depart for you next destination within Greece. Please check our guided tours available or the Grand Magical Tour though mainland Greece.

Alternatively you can spend 3 nights in Mykonos and 2 nights in Santorini.

- 7 nights accommodation (2 in Athens & 5 on Mykonos/Santorini) on Bed & Breakfast basis in 2* hotels or pensions.

- Third (3rd) class ferry tickets from Piraeus port to Mykonos, from Mykonos to Santorini and from Santorini to Piraeus.

FAQ

Can I do this Island Hopping package in the opposite order?

Yes, of course you can. As long as we can find suitable departures times, this is possible too.

Can I only book a package, which starts from Athens, with you?

No, if you happen to arrive i.e. on an island, we can make a island hopping package for you starting from there. Just let us know your wishes and we wil propose the most suitable package for you.

Can I choose a different type of transportation?

Yes, upgrading to a high speed ferry is possible, provided that such a ferry is scheduled on the day of your departure. You can also upgrade to an airfare.

Can I only pay by credit card?

No, you can also make a deposit in one of our bank accounts in Greece and residents of the Netherlands can also pay by Giro.
